Privacy Policy

X Unfollow Bot is a Chrome extension that helps you unfollow accounts on X (Twitter) directly from your own browser, using a side panel you control. It does not have a server, does not create an account for you, and does not send your data anywhere.

This policy applies to the Chrome extension published by Vanta Circle and covers everything the extension can access, store, or do.

Nothing is collected by us. We do not operate a backend, database, or analytics service for this extension. There is no account creation, no sign-in, and no tracking pixel of any kind.

• No personal information is collected
• No browsing history is read or recorded
• No login credentials or tokens are accessed
• Nothing is transmitted to Vanta Circle or any third party

The extension saves a small amount of state locally on your device, using Chrome's built-in storage.local API. This data never leaves your computer and is not accessible to Vanta Circle, X, or any other party.

• On/off state, so the panel remembers if a session was running
• Your chosen settings (filters, target count, start position)
• Session counters (accounts unfollowed, safety stops)
• A short list of already-processed usernames, to avoid repeats

You can clear all of this at any time using the Reset Session button in the panel, or by removing the extension.

Chrome requires extensions to declare permissions up front. Here is what each one is for:

Permission	Purpose
activeTab	Lets the extension act on the X tab you currently have open, only when you interact with it.
scripting	Runs the automation logic (clicking Unfollow, reading the list) directly on x.com / twitter.com pages.
storage	Saves your settings and session progress locally, as described above.
sidePanel	Displays the extension's controls in Chrome's native side panel.
tabs	Identifies which tab is active so the panel can talk to the right page.
Host access — x.com, twitter.com	Required so the extension can read the Following list and click Unfollow on your behalf. It has no access to any other website.

This extension automates actions on your own X account that you could otherwise do manually. Automating account actions may be subject to X's own Terms of Service, and use is at your own discretion and risk. Vanta Circle is not responsible for any account restrictions that may result from use of this tool.

If this policy changes, the update will be posted on this page with a revised date at the top. Continued use of the extension after a change means you accept the updated terms.
